Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and RGV were very much criticized in 2006-7 NISHABD film controversy where Aged Fatherly Figure AB is passing through dull boring lifestyle and sudden sparks from a teenager who is inclined to him. Many said Don't do this film. Mr. Bachchan did and gave one of his finest performances... I started writing in defense of Mr. Bachchan as he is my choice.
Mr. B R Chopra did stick to his standards and instincts in the past while making NIKAH a Muslim theme so People wanted Mr. Naushad or anyone from Muslim Background for the Movie. BR insisted for Mr. Ravi only ... and Nikah songs in spite of Salma Aga was a newcomer as an actress-singer all became famous + Successful. When he made serial MAHABHARAT people advised him to go for any HINDU Pandit as a dialogue writer. He refused and insisted on Rahi Masoom RAJA to whom his intrusions say was good enough, who gave some unbelievable success and new heights to Dialogues. He managed monopolized Hindu Philosophy very well during the whole serial. .So a TRUE PROFESSIONAL indeed!Mr. B R Chopara set an Example of treating An Artist, on his perceived merits and not by caste he belongs.
